Website design in Pretoria

I build and run websites for small businesses across Pretoria — from Silver Lakes to Akasia, Centurion to Mamelodi. Live in seven working days.

A Pretoria business, working with Pretoria businesses

I am based here. That matters less than some agencies pretend and more than others admit.

It matters because I know the market. A Sandton agency will quote a Pretoria plumber Johannesburg prices for the same work — the national figures bear this out, with Johannesburg and Cape Town running noticeably higher than Pretoria and Durban for comparable builds. You should not pay a Sandton premium for a business operating off the N1.

It also matters because a good chunk of Pretoria does business in Afrikaans. If your customers speak Afrikaans and your website only speaks English, you are working harder than you need to. I will build in either, or both.

What matters less: you do not need me in your office. Most projects run over WhatsApp and email because it is faster for everyone. If you would rather sit down over coffee, I am happy to — I am just not going to pretend a face-to-face meeting builds a better website.

Coverage

Areas I work in

Across the whole city and out into Gauteng. These are the areas clients are usually calling from.

Pretoria East

Menlyn · Lynnwood · Faerie Glen · Garsfontein · Silver Lakes · Equestria · Wapadrand · Waterkloof · Erasmuskloof · Moreleta Park

Where most of the professional-services work comes from — medical practices, law firms, financial advisers, estate agents. These businesses are judged on their website before the first phone call, so the build usually needs to be custom.

Pretoria North

Wonderboom · Annlin · Sinoville · Montana · Doornpoort · Karenpark · Akasia · Theresapark

Trade and service businesses, mostly — contractors, electricians, plumbers, security companies, workshops. These clients live on the phone, so a tappable WhatsApp button usually earns more than anything else on the site.

Centurion

Highveld · Eldoraigne · Wierdapark · Rooihuiskraal · Lyttelton · Irene

A lot of consultants, small agencies and online retailers. Online stores come up more here than anywhere else in the city.

Central & Hatfield

Pretoria CBD · Hatfield · Brooklyn · Arcadia · Sunnyside · Groenkloof

Practices near the courts and the university, plus restaurants and small retail. Google Maps and opening hours matter more here than anywhere — people are searching on a phone, already nearby.

Moot & west

Villieria · Gezina · Rietfontein · Capital Park · Pretoria Gardens · Danville

Long-established family businesses, many with no website at all or one built a decade ago. Usually the monthly plan — online quickly, without a big amount to find upfront.

Mamelodi, Atteridgeville & Soshanguve

Mamelodi · Atteridgeville · Soshanguve · Ga-Rankuwa · Hammanskraal

Growing small businesses that mostly trade through WhatsApp and Facebook already. A website gives them somewhere to send people that does not disappear down a feed.

Outside these areas, or outside Pretoria entirely? That is fine. I work with clients across Gauteng and the rest of South Africa, and the process is identical.

Clients

Who I usually build for

Not exhaustive, but these are the businesses I see most often in Pretoria.

Trades & contractors

Plumbers, electricians, builders, roofers, paving. People who get found and phoned.

Security companies

Armed response, guarding, CCTV installers. Credibility matters before anyone calls.

Medical & allied health

GPs, dentists, physios, psychologists. Patients check you online before booking.

Law & financial services

Attorneys, accountants, brokers, financial advisers.

Estate agents

Independent agents who want their own presence, not just a portal listing.

Churches & NPOs

Service times, events, giving details, contact — kept current and easy to find.

Online retail

Clothing, beauty, gifts, health products. PayFast and Yoco built in.

Consultants & coaches

One person selling expertise, who needs to look established.

Getting found in Pretoria, not just online

A website alone will not put you at the top of a local search. Here is the honest version of how that works.

When someone in Faerie Glen searches for a plumber, the first thing they see is the map — three businesses with pins, ratings and phone numbers. That box is fed by Google Business Profile, not by your website. It is free, and if you have not claimed yours, that is the most valuable hour you will spend on your marketing this year.

Your website's job is to back it up. Google cross-checks the name, address and phone number on your site against your profile, and inconsistencies weaken both. So I build every site with your contact details structured properly, Google Maps on the contact page, and page titles that name what you do and where you do it.

I set up Google Business Profile as part of every build, and I will show you how to ask customers for reviews without it being awkward. Reviews move the local rankings more than almost anything else, and most small businesses never ask.

Start to finish

How it works

The seven-day clock starts when your onboarding form comes back, not when you first call.

  1. We talk

Tell me what the business does and what you want the site to bring in. No charge.

  2. Written quote

Package, price and what is included, in writing. An honest no if I am not the fit.

  3. Onboarding

You send your details, services, logo and photos. This step sets the pace.

  4. We build

Seven working days to a site ready for your review.

  5. Changes

You tell me what needs adjusting. It gets adjusted.

  6. Live

The site goes up and your Google Business Profile goes with it.

Questions

Straight answers

What does website design cost in Pretoria?

It depends what you need, so I would rather point you at the right answer than a range. The Pretoria packages page sets out the local figures, and the pricing page walks you through which package fits your situation.

Do you meet in person?

Yes, happily — I am in Pretoria. Most projects still run over WhatsApp and email because it is faster, but if you would rather meet, say so.

Kan julle in Afrikaans werk?

Ja. I can build your site in Afrikaans, English, or both, and I am comfortable running the whole project in Afrikaans if that is easier for you.

Do you only work in Pretoria?

No. I am based here and know the local market well, but I work with businesses across Gauteng and the rest of South Africa. Nothing about the process changes.

How long does it take?

Seven working days from your completed onboarding form to a site ready for review. The honest caveat: most delays are content delays. If your logo and photos take three weeks to arrive, the build finishes three weeks later.

Can you fix the website I already have?

Sometimes. Send me the address and I will tell you honestly whether it is worth repairing or whether rebuilding costs less in the end. I will say so either way.
